children’s ministry
Our Kids Ministry at Elmwood is centered on life and growth, just like a strong elm tree planted firmly with deep roots and stretching toward the sky. We desire for every child to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially in a fun, vibrant, and nurturing environment. Our Children’s Ministry team provides an active and engaging program for children of all ages, including Nursery (0–2), Toddlers (2–5), and Children’s Church (6–12), along with a variety of exciting activities throughout the year. In every class, children are taught how deeply they are loved by their Heavenly Father while learning biblical truths in ways that are creative, interactive, and age appropriate. We are committed to helping each child build strong roots of faith that will continue to grow for a lifetime.
During the summer, we offer even more opportunities for growth and fun through our Summer State Youth Camps and Vacation Bible School/Back to School events. Our youth camps provide unforgettable experiences where children and teens can deepen their faith, build lasting friendships, and encounter God in powerful ways. Vacation Bible School is a highlight of the year filled with exciting lessons, music, games, crafts, and high-energy activities that make learning about God’s love both meaningful and memorable. These special events help strengthen the seeds planted throughout the year, encouraging every child to continue growing strong in their faith.

student ministry
Our Youth Ministry is a vital and dynamic part of our church because we believe ministry to our teens is incredibly important. We are committed to reaching them and providing meaningful opportunities they can truly connect with in this season of life.
Middle and High School students meet on Sundays at 9:30 am in the Teen Class for Bible study during Sunday School, where they are encouraged to grow deeper in their understanding of God’s Word and build strong, lasting friendships. They also gather at 10:30 am in the Sanctuary, where they are invited to actively participate in the worship service through singing or playing instruments, helping them use their gifts to serve and lead.
Throughout the year, our teens enjoy special events including youth camps, concerts, and retreats. These are experiences designed to strengthen their faith, create lasting memories, and help them develop a personal and vibrant relationship with Christ.

women’s ministry
Our Women’s Ministry is a vibrant and welcoming community where women of all ages come together to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and encourage one another in their daily walk with the Lord. Throughout the year, we host special outings that provide meaningful time for connection and fellowship. We also sponsor several crafting events each year, offering creative opportunities for fun, relaxation, and shared laughter. From beautiful women’s banquets and uplifting brunches to enjoyable shopping trips and heartfelt times of devotion, each gathering is designed to strengthen relationships and deepen spiritual growth. Our Women’s Ministry is a place to belong, be encouraged, and be inspired as we serve, learn, and grow together.
men’s ministry
Our Men’s Ministry is a brotherhood of men committed to serving God, strengthening one another, and supporting our church family through hands-on service and fellowship. Throughout the year, we take part in a variety of service projects around the church, including maintenance work, building and improvement projects, and practical repairs that help keep our facilities safe and welcoming.
We also extend our care beyond the church walls by assisting shut-ins, the elderly, and those in need with home projects, encouragement, and support. In addition to serving together, we gather for a monthly breakfast where we share a meal, build meaningful friendships, and grow spiritually through devotion and prayer. Our ministry is about faith in action by serving with willing hands and faithful hearts.

music and media ministry
Our Media Team is essential to the operation and effectiveness of our ministry each Sunday and at special events throughout the year. From our sound technicians and those who manage presentation slides, each member serves faithfully behind the scenes to ensure that every service runs smoothly and with excellence. Their work allows the message to be clearly communicated. Media is more than technology. It is a powerful tool for ministry, outreach, and worship. Through visuals, sound, and online access, hearts are prepared and lives are impacted. For those interested in serving, the Media Team offers meaningful opportunities to use technical skills, creativity, and attention to detail to help others fully engage and connect in worship.
Our Music Ministry is a cornerstone of our church and is known for its strong tradition of excellence and passionate worship. We are especially recognized for our dynamic choirs, whose unity and heartfelt praise help lead our congregation into meaningful worship. Music plays a powerful role in setting the direction and atmosphere of every service, creating space for God to move in the hearts of His people. Whether through choir participation, vocal teams, instrumentalists, or other areas of support, there are many ways to get involved in this vibrant ministry. We welcome individuals of all skill levels who have a desire to use their gifts to glorify God and serve the church through music.
senior’s ministry
Elmwood Seniors is an active and thriving seniors’ connection, designed to encourage fellowship, friendship, and continued spiritual growth in this meaningful season of life. This ministry meets each month and offers a variety of enjoyable activities including retreats, dinners, road trips, and other special gatherings that provide opportunities to connect and build lasting relationships. Elmwood Seniors is a place where laughter is shared, stories are celebrated, and faith continues to grow. prayer ministry
Prayer is at the heart of everything we do. At Elmwood Church of God, we believe there is power when God’s people come together in prayer. Our Prayer Ministry provides opportunities for our church family to seek God, stand in the gap for others, and believe together for His will to be done.
Corporate Prayer
Join us every Wednesday at 5:30 PM for a time of corporate prayer. Together, we worship, seek God’s presence, pray for our church and community, lift up families and individuals, and believe God for miracles and breakthrough.
Prayer Chain
Our prayer chain allows us to quickly share prayer needs throughout our church family. When a need arises, we come together in prayer, standing with one another and trusting God.
